I know what you may be thinking……didn’t you say you were not giving up?!?!? Yes, I did. I’m not giving up on being healthy rather I am switching my approach. I absolutely LOVE Keto and the science behind it. It just did not fit my busy life style. I was not able to master the recipes. I was only able to cook a few items. Secondly, I am always on the go and there was not enough meal prepping in the world for me. I will explain in my upcoming video this weekend on my YouTube channel (You Favorite Loser).
I was starting to feel bloated all the time due to the increase intake of pork and beef. Don’t get me wrong it’s not as if I wasn’t eating them before it was just in small quantities. I would buy beef or pork for the house maybe once a month. Ground turkey and chicken is a staple in my house hold, just like lean meats. I noticed the bloating and also the effects on my unsettling tummy.
Sunday when I was attempting to meal prep Trea ask me why I was doing this. Just imagine the look I gave him, as I replied “soooooooo do you want me to become a lifetime special?!?!”. Trea could not understand why I choose to switch up my methods of losing weight and continued on a path that was just NOT working for me. He pointed out that I started with a 18 pack carton of eggs, with only 2 left. Out of that pack only 2 eggs were not wasted on failed recipes. The amount of time I spent searching You Tube and the internet for recipes and testing was cutting into my gym and sleep time. Trea pointed out in the past I was always able to lose weight even without taking short cuts. I just NEVER stuck with it. If I stick to what I was doing I’ll be fine and have more time to do things like sleep and workout. LADIES DON’T YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN YOUR MAN SAYS SOMETHING SOOOO RIGHT AT THE RIGHT TIME UGH….rotflmao.
Now with that being said there are some Keto recipies I was able to execute and I will still try a few from time to time. I will keep the low carb lifestyle just with a little adjustment. Honestly I LOVE bread. And I can stick to my program and still eat bread….well keto bread bwhahaha. I love it mixing the old with the new.
